How many

Structurally real. Never assigned to anyone, anywhere.

Every number matches the exact numbering plan of its country — right country code, right prefix range, right digit count. They pass format validators and regex checks, but carrier lookups correctly flag them as unallocated. That's the whole point.

195 country formats

US, UK, Canada, Australia, India, Germany and more — each number matches the exact prefix rules of its country.

Mobile, landline & toll-free

Switch line type to test the right validation path — mobile for SMS checks, landline for call routing, toll-free for 800 logic.

Batch up to 50 at once

One click generates up to 50 unique numbers — no duplicates, no rate gates, ready for seed scripts immediately.

E.164 & local format output

Every number comes in two formats: the international E.164 standard (+1...) and the local dial format used in that country.

One-click CSV export

Download a clean, import-ready CSV — drop it straight into your database seeder, Postman collection, or spreadsheet.

Zero friction, zero signup

No account, no API key, no usage cap. Open the page and generate — it runs entirely in your browser, nothing is logged.

Three steps. Ready in seconds.

01

Choose country & line type

Pick the target country and whether you need a mobile, landline, or toll-free number — the format adjusts automatically.

02

Set how many you need

Dial the quantity up or down — anywhere from 1 to 50. Each number is structurally unique, no repeats.

03

Copy or export as CSV

Hit Generate. Copy the whole list to clipboard in one click, or grab a clean CSV ready to drop into your seed script or test suite.

Six real scenarios where fake beats real.

Developers, QA engineers, designers, and technical writers all need phone numbers that look authentic but carry zero risk. Here's exactly when a generated number is the right call.

Form & input validation

Confirm your phone field accepts valid international formats — and correctly rejects malformed ones — before you ship.

Database & seed data

Fill dev and staging databases with structurally real, legally safe numbers that will never accidentally reach a real person.

i18n & edge-case QA

Test country-code parsing, prefix handling, and length rules across regions without touching real subscriber data.

Designs & demo decks

Replace obviously fake "555-1234" placeholders with numbers that look native to the country your design targets.

Privacy guard

When a site demands a phone to proceed but you have no intent to receive calls, a correctly formatted placeholder is the cleaner choice.

Docs & code samples

Reference numbers in API docs, code examples, and tutorials that look real — without accidentally publishing a live subscriber number.

What the generator outputs for each country.

Every country follows a different numbering plan. Here's the exact format, example output, and prefix rule this tool uses when you select each country.

Built for anyone who needs a number without the risk.

From solo developers to enterprise QA teams, the use cases are the same: you need phone numbers that look real, validate correctly, and can never accidentally reach a live subscriber.

DEVELOPERS

Seed local databases, test form validation, and populate test environments without touching production data or real subscriber records. Works with libphonenumber, Twilio test credentials, Stripe sandbox, and any E.164-aware library.

QA & TESTERS

Generate edge-case numbers for every country in your test matrix. Verify that your app correctly handles international formats, rejects short numbers, and parses country codes — all without a SIM card or live account.

DESIGNERS & UX

Replace obviously fake "555-1234" placeholders with country-native formats in mockups, prototypes, and client demos. A US, UK, or Indian number that looks authentic immediately improves the realism of any UI review.

TECHNICAL WRITERS

Reference numbers in documentation, code samples, and tutorials that look real without accidentally publishing a live subscriber number. Readers copy-paste examples — generated numbers ensure nothing breaks or dials out.

Frequently asked.

Do these numbers pass E.164 format validation?
Yes. Every number is generated to be structurally valid under E.164 — correct country code, correct prefix range, correct digit length. They will pass regex-based and library-based format checks (libphonenumber, google-libphonenumber, etc.) but will fail active-line lookups, which is exactly what safe test data should do.
Why do US numbers use "555" in the middle?
The 555 prefix is the NANP-reserved fictitious range. Numbers in this range are guaranteed never to be assigned to real subscribers — making them the industry-standard choice for test data, UI mockups, and any scenario where you need a real-looking number that cannot accidentally reach a real person.
Can I seed a production database with these numbers?
For staging, dev, and QA databases — yes, freely. For production databases that contain real user records, you should not mix generated numbers with real ones without a clear flag, as it may mislead support or billing staff. Always label synthetic test records as such.
Will these numbers work with Twilio, Stripe, or other APIs in test mode?
In most cases, yes. Twilio's test credentials, Stripe's test mode, and similar sandboxes accept any structurally valid number without attempting to dial or verify it. Always check the API's docs for any reserved test numbers they recommend — some providers have specific magic numbers for triggering success or error scenarios.
How is this different from a burner phone or virtual number?
A burner or virtual number (like one from CallMama) is a real, working phone number that can actually receive calls and SMS. Numbers from this generator are synthetic — they follow the right format but are not registered anywhere and cannot receive anything. Use the generator for test data; use CallMama virtual numbers when you need a number that actually works.
Is there a limit on how many I can generate?
Up to 50 numbers per click, with no daily cap for normal individual use. For bulk generation beyond that — seeding thousands of records, for example — download the CSV and run the tool multiple times, or contact us about API access.
