A missed call is just a number.
A voicemail is the actual message.

When you can't pick up, the caller still gets to say what they need. You hear it in their own words, on your schedule — and never wonder what they were calling about.

Never miss an important caller

When you can't pick up, voicemail picks up for you. The message is waiting whenever you're free.

See who needs what

Every message lists the caller, time, and length — so you triage your callbacks at a glance.

One inbox, every number

All your CallMama numbers feed into one organized inbox. Nothing scattered, nothing forgotten.

Three things happen automatically.

No manual setup, no apps to install for the caller, no waiting for a notification. From the second they leave the message, it's already on its way to you.

01

Caller leaves a message

They hear your custom greeting, then record their voice message.

02

Stored securely in the cloud

The audio lands in your inbox within seconds of the call ending.

03

Listen anywhere, on any device

Tap to play on iOS, Android, or the web — all synced in real time.

Manage messages like
a modern inbox.

See who called, when, and how long the message is — before you commit to listening. Play, archive, or delete with a tap. No dial-in, no PINs, no menu trees.

  • Triage at a glance. Caller, time, and length — visible without playing the audio.
  • One tap to play. No dial-in, no PINs — just open and listen straight from the app.
  • Synced everywhere. Mark a message heard on your phone and it shows as heard on your laptop too.

Notifications outside the app. Voice inside it.

Two small features that quietly remove the rest of the friction around missed calls.

Email alerts

Inbox-ready, every time

A new-voicemail alert lands in your email seconds after the call ends — caller name, time, and a one-tap link to play. You'll know something came in even when the app's closed.

Set a personal greeting for your private line, a professional one for your work number. Record in the app, or upload your own audio file.

Frequently asked.

How does CallMama voicemail work?
When someone calls a number you can't answer, CallMama plays your greeting and records their message. The voicemail is delivered to your inbox in the app within seconds — you listen whenever you're free, on any device signed into your account.
Does each CallMama number have its own voicemail?
Yes. Every number on your account has a separate voicemail inbox with its own greeting and message history.
Can I delete or archive voicemails?
Yes. Voicemails can be deleted individually or in bulk from the iOS app, Android app, or web portal — and there is no automatic time-based deletion. You decide retention.
Do my voicemails sync across all my devices?
Yes. Voicemails and read state sync across iOS, Android, and the web portal at app.callmama.com in real time. Listen on your phone, mark it heard — it shows as heard on your laptop too.
Can I get email notifications for new voicemails?
Yes. Enable email notifications in Settings to receive a new-voicemail alert in your inbox the moment a message lands — with caller name, time, and a one-tap link to play the audio.
Can I record a custom greeting for each number?
Yes. Set a personalized greeting per number directly in the app — record it on the spot, or upload a pre-recorded audio file.
How is CallMama voicemail different from YouMail or HulloMail?
YouMail and HulloMail are voicemail-only utilities — you still need a separate phone number and calling app. CallMama bundles voicemail with the calling, SMS, and number provisioning, so the message lives in the same place as the call history. No ads, no separate subscription.
How long are voicemails stored?
Voicemails remain in your account until you delete them. There is no automatic time-based deletion or quota — you control retention from the app or web portal.
Can I download a voicemail to share or archive?
Yes. Every voicemail can be downloaded as a standard MP3 file from the web portal — useful for forwarding to a colleague, archiving evidence, or saving an important message.
What happens to voicemails when my account is closed?
When you close your account, voicemails are removed within the deletion window stated in the privacy policy. Download anything you want to keep before closing.
Does voicemail work on virtual numbers in any country?
Yes. Every CallMama number — local, mobile, or international — comes with voicemail capability and a configurable greeting. Country of the number does not affect the feature.
